The major American airlines warned passengers about the travel disruptions during the spring break period due to the looming partial government shutdown . The dispute is over a budget, involving the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), with Democrats insisting on immigration reform measures such as tougher warrant requirements and prohibiting agents from wearing masks in response to the controversial shooting of two protesters in Minneapolis. 

Although agencies like the Federal Aviation Administration are already fully funded, TSA officers and Coast Guard members will have to work without pay. However, the government can use money allocated in previous legislation to mitigate the effects.
